What the job involves
Early years teachers lead learning in a nursery, often across several rooms or with the pre-school children. Depending on the setting, you might:
- Plan and lead high-quality teaching using the EYFS
- Model good practice and coach practitioners
- Track children’s progress and plan next steps
- Support children’s language, communication and school readiness
- Work closely with parents, the SENCo and local schools
Who it suits
You’re a graduate with EYTS or QTS who loves the youngest age groups and wants to raise the quality of teaching across a whole team.
